Prossheds bristles
I purchased this foundation brush after I had the Mac cosmetic person apply foundation. I liked it so much I purchased one for my daughter. After owning for a year and cleaning, the hairs from the brush come out when I use it. The same thing occurs with my daughter's brush. I love the brush but don't like that is sheds. I have to use tweezers to remove the dark hairs that are left on my face.
I have owned many MAC brushes and this one is probably my least favorite. The shape, size and density are great for applying and blending cream blushes, bronzers, contour and highlighters, but the construction of this brush doesn't seem to be on par with the quality I expect from MAC. It began fraying almost immediately, and I've never had a brush that shed as much as this one. After the first cleaning it got even worse. I returned my first one thinking it was a fluke but the new one seemed to have the same problem. Still it does get the job done well so its not a total bust, but since I'm a little obsessive with the upkeep of my brushes I find the construction of this brush disappointing.
I can' tell which brush is worse, this or Ma #188. I gave this brush many chances but every single time I've used it, an absurd amount of brush hairs are left stuck on my face and they are difficult to remove. I'm really disappointed. For the price, I would assume I was purchasing a quality brush but it turned out to be such a waste of money. I've purchased much better quality brushes at a fraction of this cost. Mac #130 is definitely one of the worst!

Great brush for buffing out edges

I am a brush fanatic so I look for different types of brushes to use for different types of foundation finishes. I purchased this brush because I wanted a brush to buff out the areas where foundation settles like around the forehead and hairline, jawline, nose and around the inside of the face and undereye area. This brush is perfect. It diffuses all types of foundation and gives the skin a natural finish. It's more exact because of it's smaller size so if you're looking for an all over foundation brush, get the larger version. If you're looking to buff out smaller areas, this is the brush!
