There are better foundations...

I tried this for the first time back in 2010, I remember it was what Angelina Jolie used and at the time was instructed to use a little brush and only apply where needed, which I still do to date with any foundation-I never bought it again and pretty sure I tossed it back then being I never remember using it...Picked up 2 shades last week, Nude and Hazel for there are terrible shade selections, I could make a color that was ok for me mixing the 2- However it wasn't as light as I thought it was going to be and wearing the product 2x I got around 4 deep type pimples, the kind that you touch and they hurt-Stopped using and nothing new on my face so I know it's this foundation-Since I already used and tossed the boxes I can't get a refund so I'll toss but just a note to anyone interested: 1-Shades are not the best, they pull either very yellow or orange 2-It may be a gel like formula but it still feels heavy 3-This may cause you to break out, I only had this on for maybe a total of 6 hours each of the 2 days I wore it and I go the zits
There are other foundations for sure and aren't as messy, a tub with a lid that always gets foundation on you, and has better color selections-
The best quality makeup on the market! Natural looking with great coverage and staying power!

Too yellow; very sheer; emphasizes skin texture

VERY disappointed! The color Alabaster supposedly would work for my cool-tone, fair to very fair skin, according to the shade finder on the Chantecaille website. It didn't: still too yellowish. And the claim about medium- to full-coverage is misleading. It's very sheer and not as buildable as the description claims, especially without looking like I had jaundiced spots where I tried to even out pink/red areas! Worse, it emphasized my textured skin, not in a good way. On the plus side, it feels nice and cool when applied, and (per other reviewers) I used a very small amount, trying to tap and build -- not rub or scrub -- the gel into my skin.

Just OK for me

I really wanted to love this. The texture is so smooth and it really does just blend into the skin so nicely and doesn't look or feel like makeup. BUT, the coverage is NOT medium, it's definitely light coverage. And I tried to build coverage and got nothing out of it. It also has a matte finish and made my 50 year old skin look a bit dry.
