Proven Wrong

When the Chantecaille foundation was first suggested to me, I was certain it was laughably overpriced. As someone with fair, freckled combination skin and uneven texture, I’ve tried a lot of different foundations — both expensive and affordable. Though I’ve found a few good ones, I’ve never encountered a foundation over $50 that I actually believed was worth the money. So, trust me when I say that a $90 foundation wasn’t going to magically be worth it because it had a high price tag. I really, really wanted to hate this foundation, laugh about being right, and move on. I was so wrong. It applies like a dream, provides truly excellent, buildable coverage, and looks like actual skin instead of a cakey mess. Now I’m the woman that buys $90 foundation, I guess. It’s so worth it though!

New Must Have

I was caught off guard when I started using this foundation. I just love it. It covers my redness and makes my skin look great. It doesn’t wear off and always looks natural. I’m so glad I tried it. Now a fan forever.

After trying all these luxury foundations, this is still the one I reach out to when I don’t know which foundation I want to use. Easy application, nice coverage, beautiful finish.

Coverage and shade options arent great

ColorAura
I have heard so many good things about this foundation, so many!! I went in store to play around and find my shade match, which I was sure would be Porcelain, however I tried both Porcelain and Aura and I felt that Aura was a closer match (however, definitely not really near what I needed... Was still 1-2 shades too dark and very peach, while Porcelain was also 1-2 shades too dark but very yellow-orange). Once I blended in Aura, it looked good, however the coverage is abysmal... I added another layer, and coverage was better, but now you could really see the color wasn't a perfect match for me. Chantecaille needs to release some lighter shades, because I don't even consider myself to be on the super fair side of the spectrum, I'm just a pretty average, basic neutral fair shade. I still gave three stars because the formula felt nice and my skin didn't react poorly to it, and it made my skin look fresh and glowy.
