I was looking for something light but good coverage. Just enough to look like my skin but also something that would look seamless too. A foundation that wasn’t chalky, too red or too dark. A product that stays put and doesn’t creep or melt or come off on my hands when I leaned on them. This hit the mark.
It’s a great lightweight, light coverage product. It’s perfect for vacation when you want that natural “my skin but better” appearance, but it also pairs nicely as a base for fuller coverage foundation! 10/10 in my book
I bought the color Alabaster. My skin tone is Neutral Warm 15. Color match is perfect. The hydration and glow is perfect. Very soothing like drink of water on your face. But I just couldn’t get the coverage I wanted out of it. I have to put on 2 layers of Future Skin. I added a primer of the chantecaille skin tint spf 15 in that same color Alabaster and was able to have it look like more coverage, but it did feel a bit tacky- I didn’t love it- Then with the chantecaille primer spf 45 ( no color it’s whiteish clear ) I did like the healthy glow and effect looked better. But still I wanted a longer wearing and more coverage foundation. I could keep using Future skin and enhance the overall look by spot applying concealer on the trouble areas. Finally, to add more coverage with this I used the chantecaille bronzer face tint and that looked very pretty + added a bit more coverage and dimension. I love the moisturizing and fresh feeling, and delicate fragrance of chantecaille products!. And I especially love the Chantecaille cheek gelée - I mix two shades and love how long wearing they are! My final thoughts- I will keep this foundation in my rotation, as I do like it. BUT, for this type of gel cream formula foundation -I prefer the better coverage of Chanel Sublimage Cream my color B20. The properties are identical to Chantecaille, however Chanel Sublimage covers my imperfections better, using far less product.
