I don't understand the good reviews. I was excited to finally find a good vegan mascara, but this is not the one.
I bought this mainly because it was vegan and also because the reviewers said it curled. I would not say this mascara curl the lashes at all. Loved the rose scent, but gone after one use. The mascara is globby and smeary. After a couple of uses, the outside of the tube is smeared with the mascara, the wand is goopy and I have mascara all over my eyes and hands because its a mess to use. Oh, and if my eyes water, the mascara ends up under my eyes. This is really no better than any cheap drugstore mascara, I am sorry to say.
So two stars for the vegan mascara, but lost three stars because it needs work.
Chantecaille Faux Cils Mascara is the perfect mascara with a thick brush and beautiful shade of black. This mascara does not smear underneath your eyes (even after long wear). This will be a staple in your make-up collection!
This has been my go-to mascara for a long time. I recently tried some other brands, but came back to this one. Goes on evenly, lasts all day and doesn't leave black flakes on your cheeks.
Having recently tried (and love) Chantecaille Harmonizing Cream, I thought I'd try the Mascara. It goes on very light. Although it doesn't give me the thickness that I'm used to,.. I actually think it makes my lashes look more natural and feminine. I've even started to wear less eyeliner. I would give 5 stars for the product but have to take away for the brush. The brush is too bulky. I wear glasses, not contacts so,.. even with a magnification mirror a big brush is hard to work with. Compared to YSL Baby Doll, it has a wonderful skinny little brush that I can get in close with. I will probably buy this again as I do like the look.
