I used the previous version of this with arbutin which I loved so I thought I would give this a go. Chantecaille is one of those brands that can mix simplicity and effectiveness, and this product conveys that very well. It is light to use, lasts on the skin and gives an immediate radiance. I use this for the Rosewater tonic.

Though it is called an essence, the consistency is more gel like, but it spreads evenly and isn’t sticky or tacky. It has a very subtle pleasant scent and absorbs into the skin quickly. It helps to keep skin plump and moisturised as well as calming dry, red sensitive skin. Though initially concerned from other reviews, I have not had problems with breakouts as mentioned by other reviewers!

This is a very nice and uncomplicated, if you can say so, product from Chantecaille. The serum is actually nothing special, but after application the skin looks simply fresher and younger. The scent is barely noticeable, which I personally like very much. I use the serum in the morning or in the evening under a cream (Rose de Mai or rich lifting cream), I also apply it to the eye area under the eye care.

This is the second time I but this essence. It is the best essence ever for moisturising and calming your skin. It is also safe for sensitive skin, it does not give any pressure for the sensitive skin and calm the irritated skin, also clam the redness.
