Great Hydration

I use retinols at night and acids in the morning. Although my skin wasn’t reacting negatively to the routine, I felt I wanted to alternate with a more hydrating serum in the morning. After using a small sample, decided to take the plunge and bought the full size. I’m really pleased with it. The serum is gel-like and not runny. It feels lightweight, applies and absorbs easily – doesn’t feel too rich – and leaves my skin feeling smooth rather than tacky/sticky. I’ve oily skin and only use a small amount (one pump) and find I don’t need to use moisturiser as well. My nose may not be the most sensitive but there is a very subtle rose scent which is not off-putting. Performance wise, my skin prior to using this serum wasn’t looking bad, but since using (been about a month), there is a plumpness that wasn’t there before. For me, overall it is a beautiful serum that is worth it.
I have used this product for a long time. Sometimes I buy the other version with arbutin. But particularly in the summer I prefer this one. I use it under skincare and sometimes in the evenings as a night moisturiser. Brilliant if you have a combination skin with some dry patches.

I've been using Vital Essence for years and don't know another product which can be used over the whole eye area. I layer it under my moisturiser and then add an anti-pollution creme. It's a great serum calming and re-hydrating my skin even in the warmest weather.

I love Chantecaille products and would definitely recommend Vital Essence. I had run out of Chantecaille's Bio Lifting Serum which I felt was also extremely effective but could not warrant the high price tag so decided to try the Vital Essence instead. TBH the results are very similar. The Vital Essence has a thinner consistency but still leaves my skin comfortable, lifted, and with an even texture - I definitely notice a difference when I am using it. This product is gentle on the skin but delivers noticeable results.
