This cleanser is so sumptuous! The fragrance is soft and lovely and the cleanser is gentle. I love this brand of product and the botanicals they use.

Prosfoamy, gentle
I am 48 yr old, living in Jacksonville, FL. My skin is normal - some fine lines, wrinkles, etc. I was looking for a cleanser that would feel good on my skin as well as take off my eye makeup (waterproof eyeliner and mascara).
I read TONS of reviews for many different products and I tried several samples before purchasing. I tried, Chanel (burned my eyes when using for eye makeup remover), NUDE brand (not sold a Nordstrom) could not remove eye makeup, Soy - Fresh Face (did not do a great job with makeup remover), I tried Tatcha Pure One-Step Camellia Cleansing Oil (not from Nordstsrom) was just an oily mess, but did get my makeup off but did not make my face feel clean, and needless to say I was getting very frustrated!
Finally, I tried this and was a bit hesitant about the price, but based on the reviews, a little bit goes a long way. That is no lie! I went into the store for a sample, and they put it in a that tiny little container and I was thinking I would get lucky to get 2 washes out of it well.... I actually got 6! Yes 6! Admittedly I don't wear lots of makeup except for waterproof eyeliner and mascara, but I'll tell you I'm a fan of Rice and Geranium Foaming Cleanser - a little dab really did take off my eye makeup completely and left my face feeling clean! Amazing. I took this with me when I went to Arizona on a trip, and they have hard water there - I did notice my face felt tighter than when I am at home (I have a water softener at home) however, I'm just let you decide as you will use the same water to wash face your face regularly.
The directions for this say best for oily skin, but since I'm really good at using my moisturizers right after washing, I did not feel that it dried out my face.
Regarding cost, it's pricey, but this little tube should easily last as long as my other ones, about 6 months! I use less than a pea sized amount for my face. I start with cleanser and a little water on my face, then begin at eyes, then add more water and get to rest of face with lots of foamy cleansing!
And you even get a bit a gentle of exfoliating for every day!
Chantecaille's Rice and Geranium Foaming Cleanser is a gentle exfoliant that does not contain those gritty bits found in other products. My skin always looks and feels exceptionally clean after using this product, but without the negative effects of drying. The product is gentle enough to use daily, which I sometimes do while traveling, but generally use it twice a week as part of my normal skin care regimen.
