Just an ok cleanser.

So far every Chantecaille product that I have used have been simply superb, some xeceptionally so. The Rice and Geranium Foaming Cleanser breaks that trend. It is a mildly foaming, very lightly scented cream cleanser with some rice particulates that are supposed to aid in exfoliation. The particles are too few to accomplish that purpose. The problem with this cleanser, however, is that it is very strong and literally leaves the skin squeaky clean (The skin actually squeaks when rubbed after cleansing!). I have combination skin and find this kind of cleansing undesirable. I am not sure who needs this strong cleanser frankly. I should add on the plus side that it does not irritate the skin or causes any redness, just that it strips the skin. As I have the cleanser already, I will used it without much massaging which may alleviate the stripping effects, but I will not be purchasing this again. For a truly excellent cleanser that suits most skin types, look no further than Susanne Kaufmann's Purifying Cleansing Gel.

Whilst this has mixed reviews, I think it's actually a nice little cleanser, albeit a bit pricy. It has a strange texture - slightly powdery (it could be the rice?) - but it cleans effectively without drying the skin. I probably won't repurchase as there are so many great cleansers out there that are far less expensive

Leaves your face feeling very clean

The product has a nice scent, as do lots of their products. It makes me skin feel very clean - if anything a little too clean! I don't love the feeling of having everything scrubbed from my face however it does remove all my make up and pollution etc. from the day, it just slightly dries my skin out so I use very small amounts. A little goes a long way!

I have used cleansers like this before. It felt very familiar. Your skin is certainly clean and fresh after use. However, skin is unbearably tight. I can’t even run my hands across my face to wash the product off. So, whilst it is a nice cleanser, I really didn’t enjoy this. Also, it is not suitable for removing eye make up and causes eyes to sting. For these reasons, I wouldn’t purchase the full size.
