Prostoo big, too wide @ ankle
I tried the original boot and the Huntress as my calf size is around 14". My usual size is 8, so I tried the Huntress in size 8 and size 7 based on the reviews that the Huntress ran generous. The 7's were way too small but the 8's were WAY TOO BIG! My feet were swimming in these even if I put on two pairs of socks. Also, the calf size was great but the ankle size was really large and I provided no support. These are definitely going back and thus the original Hunter boots are the winners.

Prosnot as large as, i had hoped.
I have large calf muscle so needless to say I was very excited to see a rain boot to offer accommodations for individuals like myself. However when the boots arrived they were not as large as I was expecting. I can't wear the boots with jeans only leggings. I would have given a much worse rating, but they were on sale-- at least I didn't have to pay full price for such a disappointment.

Need more colors options

Love the boots, annoyed with the limited color choices for us "wide calf" ladies. This is also comical that I had to get a wide calf boot. Hunter definitely needs to reevaluate their calf dimensions and take a look at a normal calf. Or, perhaps their target market is the 5'11", 105lb girl. I'm 5'2", 130lbs and a runner. According to Hunter, I have fat calves. Please make more color choices for us fat girls.

I originally ordered the regular shaft Hunter boots but unfortunately, even though I wear a size 6 in clothes, I need a wide calf boot because mine never fit in to regular shaft boots. These were perfect. Originally, I wanted the gloss but they were sold out. However, now that I have them, I love the matte black. I am a true 7.5 and I bought these in a 7 and they are perfect.
