I had ordered the "tall" original Hunter boots and my calves wouldn't fit! I was so disappointed...until I found the "huntress" boot! They are a little shorter and much wider so I can slip right in them. Very comfortable. Can't wait to buy boot socks to give them a little more insulation. I will definitely be buying the "huntress" in more colors.
I bought these in Navy. They are exactly what I wanted. A friend of mine, who is taller than me, has a pair of the tall style. She didn't like how the tops rub together when walking and tend to pinch when sitting. Looking at the different styles, I chose these because they're the perfect length. I'm 5'6" and they come just to the middle of my calf. The calf is just the right size around for me. It helped to check the measurements of the height and circumference of the boot to my leg so I knew what I was getting. Also, I have a high arch and I was afraid I wouldn't be able to easily slip into the original style Hunter boots. These are a little roomier in the ankle and they slipped right on. I'm a size 9.5 and I bought an 9. They are roomy enough for thick socks but don't feel too big with thin ones. They arrived in 4business days. They are really cute!! Can't wait for a rainy day.
The Huntress Boots are very comfortable and have kept my feet dry during my walks at the park on these rainy days. I also like having the wider leg area around my calf.
Loved the look of these Hunter boots. Was looking for a boot with a larger shaft that doesn't have a buckle. Wanted the clean, sleek look. These boots fit the bill. BUT, I didn't like where the boot hit on my leg. I wanted something closer to the knee. This was more mid calf and was not flattering. So disappointed. I think these boots would be perfect for 5 foot and under that is looking for a wider shaft. Sadly, I returned them.
