I love this mascara. I will run out and try cheaper brands, but always return to YSL. It doesn't flake and give me long full lashes.

Prosvolumizing, easy to apply, lots of smudging, hard to remove, deep black color
Really loved the idea of the deep black color. Unfortunately, like others, this fell short. While I liked the wet formula and the deep color, the smudging that started an hour later and continued throughout the day was the worst. I haven't experienced this with other mascaras, so I knew it had to be the product. Just to make sure, I used it multiple times with the same results. The removal also takes multiple swipes to completely remove. I started with a cleansing oil, then facial cleanser, followed by eye makeup remover. The clean-up is by far the lesser issue compared to the continuous smudging. So disappointed.
Based on other reviews, it does seem like the other Faux Cils formulas are more effective. Will try those when Nordstrom has their mascara sale and it see if they are any different.

This is not the same as the original " Faux cils ". I love the original for its non- flaking, lash lengthening properties. Was very excited to try this one due to the deeper pigmentation. While the color is indeed very deep, it does not dry. My lashes stuck together and shortly after I was a smeary mess. Sometimes with a new mascara it needs a few days to firm up in the tube. That didn't happen or help. While I liked the color, I will be returning to the original.
