I have been using this cleanser for a year now, ever since I received a nice sized sample in a Shisedo gift. It's gentle on my dry skin but keeps my fair skin absolutely flawless ......no little sun spots. I use the Shisedo cleansing Oil first ( see my review) because I use primer, luminizer, makeup with SPF......but at the end of the day it all has to come off, then I use the White Lucent Brightening cleanser with my Clarisonic. Nothing looks better than great skin.......Love Shisedo products!

Prosgentle, milky
The cleanser that I had been using from my esthetician was discontinued so I have been on a several month search for a cleanser to replace my old favorite. I have a shelf of partially used cleansers as there is no way to know before trying them if they will work and will be liked. I had second thoughts about trying White Lucent because of the cost, but the reviews were so positive I decided to try it. It is the most luscious and luxurious feeling cleanser I have EVER used. I have combo/oily skin prone to blemishes and this cleans leaving the pores so smooth with no breakout following usage. Under make up my skin and pores look so much better and without makeup my skin seems to glow. It takes ever so slight an amount of this cleanser - less than the size of a dime - to totally lather my face. And the lather has a way of almost miraculously turning into a creamy mask. This is now my go-to facial wash!
I love this cleanser. It is very gentle and light, does not cause breakouts, and creates the right amount of foam (I have found a lot of foaming cleansers to be a bit heavy and don't really foam at all). I have not notice much in the "brightening effect" so if that is what you are looking for, you may be disappointed. The price is also a bit steep for a cleanser. I would definitely buy it again (and I have) though!
