[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have always worn Sorel Boots. For over 45 years they have been my go to boot when the weather is extremely cold and accumulating snows are forecasted. Been using these boots for all my hunting trips when your gear is most important for your comfort and success. I was hugely disappointed as after ordering two pairs of Caribou wool boots at two different sizes 9.5 and 10, the 9.5's one boot felt larger then the other. Upon further inspection I noticed that the left boot without the liner in had some raised rubber defects most likely contributing to the fit issue. The rubber appears to be poorly clued at the seems and is not a molded one piece and is also not steel shank rubber. Where the leather becomes one with the rubber there were raised areas that will quickly lead to decay of the overall boot. There seems to be a poor and lack of attention to detail in quality and the use of cheaper materials overall. Hence this is an imported boot and is intended for maximum production and profit. It is surely not the Sorel's from its earlier inception. Missing the Kaufman manufacturing out of Canada.

Caribou Wool Boots

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'll start with FIT. I'm a 10 in most shoes, 10.5 in some shoes, and went with a 9.5 cuz most people said they run very large. DON'T listen to these people. The 9.5 was too snug, I sent back for a 10 and that fits perfect. This is a huge boot on the outside, but not so much on the inside. Remember there's a liner boot inside the outside boot plus most people will have a heavy sock on. How some people say 1-2 sizes smaller fits is beyond me. They must have their regular size wrong and are wearing a larger size shoe than they should. Unless you plan on wearing this boot without the liner or without socks I STRONGLY recommend you order your true size. But you could go a half size up or down (max) depending on your foot and how you'd like it to fit.
For some reason the 9.5 slipped on and off easier than the larger 10, but the 10 still goes on easy and comes off okay.
They are a big heavy boot, so if you want a boot to work in all day everyday or for extra long hikes I'd recommend one of Sorels lighter and smaller models.
They're very comfortable and warm.
Quality looks great (but like most things they don't make em like they used to)
I can't comment on durability as I've only had them a month.
Overall a very comfortable, warm, stylish boot and I'd recommend.
