Boots need insulated insoles

I purchased the Caribou wool boot for a recent goose hunt in North TX. The temperatures during our hunt was 19 degrees and we were sitting in ground blinds with 20 mile an hour winds. The boots were warm for the first few hours, then my feet began to feel some cold from the sole. I had medium weight hunting socks. The boots did not have an insole, just the wool felt boot insert. These boots need an insulated insole to keep your feet warm. The cold seem to come through the bottom sole. I purchased some insulated insole which I will try on my next trip. The boots fit better with insoles and should solve the cold problem from the sole.

Men's Caribou® Wool Boot

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have warn Sorel 1964 style boots for 40 plus years. These are by FAR the WARMEST boots I've ever owned. I wore these out ice fishing last weekend and had warm feet all day in the snow and slush. First time in my life I have come in from Ice Fishing without cold feet. Great boots.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] These Caribou Wool Boots are true to specification. Working outside in frigid temperatures on concrete makes for a long day, but these boots are extremely comfortable, appropriately stabilized by their weight, and keep my feet warm. I went with the woolen insert to make sure they were toasty and comfortable, and it was a wise decision as they feel like I'm walking on blankets. They're easy to clean from my hard day's work, and have withstood some pretty slushy days with our recent weather and continued concrete conditions. I especially like how sturdy the ties are as I'm lacing them up. Keeps my ankles secured throughout the day without relacing as I've had to do in the past with others. These Caribou Wool Boots are exactly what I hoped for. Great quality and great comfort.
