My husband has never had true winter boots. Living in the south, we never had a pressing need. He was afraid they would be too bulky and heavy. He tried them on and feel in love. The fit is a true fit to his normal shoe size. They were not bulky at all and very warm. With the recent forecasts they will get plent of use.
Warm, tough, and really great looking. They go from the suburbs shoveling and snow blowing and then to the city and a walk to the L without any problems.

I ordered the Sorel Caribou Women's boots in size 6 1/2, a full size smaller than I normally wear, per the reviewers recommendations. I found them to be 1/2 size too small-a size 7 would have fit perfectly. Unfortunately, they were all sold out as quiclkly as I ordered them. The boot was very heavy and appeared as they would be warm in inclimate weather. Too bad I won't find out because I had to return them. A must-have for those below zero days in cities such as Chicago.
