It gets the job done, but...
PostedFebruary 17, 2015
Well. I bought this kit to save myself some time and money from going to the salon for a bikini wax. It does get the job done, but I had to have help from my husband as pulling the wax off needed both my hands. Plus, it was way more painful than going to the salon. Needless to say, I will be returning to the salon for future waxes!

One huge blue gooey sticky stinky mess
PostedOctober 14, 2014
Please bring back the Anastasia Pro Wax Kit!!! I have been trying to find a comparable product on the market to use on EYEBROWS and unfortunately this is NOT IT. One good thing I can say about this one is that it does remove hair. But it dries IMMEDIATELY upon contact with skin, so spreading it on the area making a fine even line is not an option - wherever the spatula hits skin, that's where it dries in place, the rest tries to drip off into your eyelashes as it slips right down the plastic applicator. So, it's a quick action balancing act between keeping it from dripping and getting it on your eyebrow. Arrrgh. Taking it off in one shot is impossible, as it cracks off into tiny shards right under your fingers, so you have to pick it off in tiny pieces as they crumble onto the floor, the sink and everywhere else making a wide area where you have to pick up tiny little pieces of dried blue wax. If you like that kind of thing, get this product. Mine is going right back to Nordstrom, thanks to their awesome return policy!!!

The Best At-Home Waxing Kit for Sensitive Skin
PostedAugust 4, 2014
Proslong-lasting, effective, sensitive skin, non-irritating
I use this kit on my underarms and bikini area, and I get very, very little irritation. I'm only a little pink afterwards, and it fades away quickly, 20-30 minutes, and I have very sensitive, fair skin. I think the secret is the calming Pre- and Post-Waxing Oil, which allows the product to attach to the hair, but not your skin. I get great results, and it hurts so much less than traditional waxing. I think it even hurts less than when I have gone to a professional. It's expensive at $48 a kit, but I keep buying it. It's simply the best! Also, I took advantage of a $20 Nordstrom reward, so I'm extremely happy!
Note: It may take a bit to get the hang off using a "hard wax" if you've never done it before. (You don't use the muslin clothes or strips. You apply the wax, let it cool for a few seconds and pull the wax directly off.) But, once you've had a few times to practice, it's super easy!

Dreadfully Disappointed!

Proswaste of money
The Poetic Bliss Waxing Kit is horrible. If I could give this product 0 stars (my true rating), I would. I really question how this product has received so many high ratings. Those high ratings persuaded me to purchase the product. I saw a few negative reviews but figured those people just didn't use the product right. Now I'm suspicious of the positive reviews...how anyone could get good use out of this product is beyond me!
It took WAY over the stated time to melt the wax; the directions state a full cup will take five to six 30-second intervals but after spending over 20 minutes I lost track of the number of intervals it took. I even tried a few 1 minute intervals because I was getting impatient. It took well over 30 intervals to even be able to break through the top layer of wax...until then it was solid as a rock with no change. I almost gave up & returned the product, and I wish I had given up & gotten my money back!
Most of the wax was wasted on the spatula during the heating process when stirring between heating intervals and the other part of the wax was wasted on the sides of the cup (from stirring during heating & from trying to get onto spatula during use). The cup was a mess & the sides quickly became covered with a thick layer of hardened, dried wax. The thick layer of hardened wax started to form during the heating process because of the required stirring! Because of all of this, I only got ONE use out of this $50 product. SO not worth it!!!!
