Dresses just don't fit the same in the waist area, so this is the solution. It won't perform miracles and unlike other reviewers, I haven't found any that are what I would call "comfortable" in the midriff, my problem section, and this one is no exception. I will keep it because I like the wear your own bra feature.

My sister bought this for me and I loved it for about a week. I think I should have had the next size up. All the elastic around the bottom began to break after the first wearing and continued until there almost isn't any, having said that I am a size 18W and she bought me the extra large instead of the xxlarge. I love it still just wish the elastic had not broken because it now rides up all the time.....otherwise loved it. Hour glass and waist nipper indeed at least for a little while.....

I love everything about this except the straps, which goes into my underarm area. I think it's because of the design. If they made the straps a little closer together, and less open in the front, it would rest on my front shoulder area, instead of going under the arms. You can kind of see on the model where the straps go back under the arms.
Now for all the positives. This gives me my waist back! It smooths the fat and there are no visible lines underneath even snug fitting tops. It is comfortable enough to wear all day, except for the strap issue, which I mentioned above. There are gripping things on the bottom to help keep it in place and not ride up. I only handwash and line dry this.
As for getting it on and off, I found it easiest to step into it and pull it up. The same goes for taking it off, just sort of peel it down so that it ends up inside out, and step out of it. Voila!
