These boots are so SWEET - they are cute and comfortable. Yes, there is a minor break in period. I have had other Ariat shoes - and I loved them - they were the mule type - they looked like a boot but had a sling back. I finally had to retire them (had them for years and Ariat no longer carries the style)
The type of sock I wear with Fatbaby II is a wool - not real thick - medium and everything is good to go!

Not In Love With The Fit

I ordered these in 2 sizes (8.5 & 9). The 8.5 was too small (toe right on the end of the boot). I was swimming in the 9, and would have had to wear VERY thick socks. The stitching on the black boots is adorable. I own a brown pair of Fatbaby boots that I ordered from another source. They are cut slightly different and I did not have this fitting problem. Too bad, because I would have loved to have a black pair as well, they really are adorable.

Love them, my foot runs a little wider with a bit of a high instep, these are perfect. The side tabs let me pull them on without a problem.

I love these boots! I could not believe Nordstrom's carried them! I own many pairs of boots by Ariat! They are so comfortable when on your feet all day. They look great with anything...including dress pants. I bought this for something more causal. The pink threading is subtle and very nice with the lighter shade of brown! These are great boots!!
