Nice Dress, But Not on Me

This dress on it's own is nice, but the cut was not at all flattering on my relatively straight figure. I'm 5' 8", 120 lbs, and a size 2 (which I typically wear) was a little large on me. The rouching through the stomach area made my waist look much larger than it actually is, and the rouching on the lower back/upper bottom area to me just looked like panty lines, or like the dress had bunched from sitting down and hadn't straightened out. Also note that the neckline is more of a scoop-neck shape than an asymmetrical vee-neck, as it appears in the photo. I think this dress would be amazing on a woman with a medium or large build (or at least someone with a larger bust), and at camouflaging any stomach issues one wanted to hide. Unfortunately, it overwhelmed my small build and will be returned. I will say, though, that the dress' quality is excellent - it does not look cheap at all, and I am quite picky about things like that - and the Frost (gray) color and fabric is absolutely beautiful in person. In addition, I was able to wear a regular bra underneath, which is always a plus!

I purchased the sapphire and it is a lovely color. It hugs the body, but the fabric is comfy and the ruching covers any flaws. I am 5'7" 145lbs and the 8 fit well, which is true to my regular size. It was a little longer than expected - covering my knee. Returned because I found another dress I liked more.

I loved this dress! The quality of the material was superior. I ordered it in the sapphire color which was a beautiful rich bright blue color. The dress is ruched all over providing a very flattering silhouette. It is two layers of fabric all with stretch in them so it holds everything in but is super comfortable. I ordered another dress and will be returning this one but ONLY because I loved the second one even more! Hopefully another occaison will arise and I can order it again! Dress was purchased for an outdoor September wedding of my neice.

Lining creeps!

I wore this dress to a wedding reception and it fit like a glove. But as soon as I got in the car to head to the reception, I realized the lining is not tacked to the dress and the snug fit of the dress caused the lining to creep and twist! Though I kept trying to tug it back down into place, it was a lost cause all evening. By the end of the night, the lining was rotated so far to one side that it was pulling the back zipper (the one place where it is tacked to the dress) off to the left. I'm a standard size in most dresses and if I'd gone a size bigger, the bust would have been way too big. Bummer because it was beautiful if I didn't move!
