Unfortunately, the Encore Ice style has been discontinued so I was very happy that Nordstrom still carried the shoe. This is my 4th pair in the last 3 years and they are SO comfortable. I wear these shoes all winter long with running pants and my feet are always so warm.
These are as great as I expect from Merell. Nice looking and very comfy. I can't imagine why one reviewer said she "wouldn't be caught dead" wearing them outside the house. She must have a very different fashion sense than I do. My only concern is that when I wore them without socks yesterday, the fleece on the inside of the left one felt lumpy and a little uncomfortable. I hadn't noticed it with socks and hope it's not going to turn out to be a problem. I'll probably wear them mostly with socks, anyway, but around the house it would be nice to go sockless. The right one feels fine. This wouldn't stop me from ordering them again.
