leather does not match

Prospoor leather
ConsMedium width
For what I paid I would expect the quality of the leather to match with both boots. I'm not happy I wish they would replace them with another pair.

Prosraw leather, comfortable sole
ConsMedium width
I can usually tell if a shoe is a keeper for the first five minutes of wearing them and this one is a keeper.
First, these shoes are raw inside the shoes which might be a negative for people used to having smooth leather lined shoes in more expensive brands. It will need a break in period as the leather is tough. It is more comfortable than the Beckmans which were too raw inside for my taste and had to be returned. The sole definitely helps in the comfort.
I couldn't give it 5 stars because it runs a bit narrow and I wear medium width. I can only wear this shoe comfortably with dress socks, wearing it with winter/camp socks is extremely tight and wouldn't recommend it. You would have to size up width wise to do that. Length wise, it is true to size for my size.
Overall, I recommend it but couldn't give it 5 stars because it runs narrow to be a medium and the leather is a bit too stiff and needs some break in period. If you are patient, this shoe may work for you. But, comfort wise, I definitely recommend it over the Beckmans if you were contemplating on purchasing that shoe.

While they were a bit stiff out of the box, they are slowly but surely breaking in and becoming my go to boot for the fall. I decided to go the Red Wing route so I would have a boot that lasts a long time and doesn't go out of style. I have received a ton of compliments in the short time I have had them as well. Great purchase.

I am writing this review mostly in order to cancel out some of the poor rating given by one of the reviewers above. I have owned this Red Wing Classic Chukka (same model as the Red Wing Heritage 3141) for over a year now, and they have served me through the harsh Minnesota winters better than any other shoe I have ever owned, Allen Edmonds and Alden included. The leather is incredibly tough and hardwearing while remaining more than supple enough for incredible comfort. The style is classic and goes with almost anything, and thanks to Red Wing's top-notch construction I have no doubt that they will last me years or decades. My only complaint was that I ordered online without trying them on in-store, and my usual 10E-10.5D size is just a touch too big for this particular model. However, since more often than not I wear thick wool socks with these boots, the extra room is not noticed. If you wear thinner socks consider sizing down by 0.5. Overall, these are phenomenal shoes that really can't be beat.
