I love the concept of a sun protection powder I can carry for touch ups during the day. However, it is very hard to use this. You can't tell if any powder is even coming out so I wouldn't trust that I'm getting adequate sun protection.
My dermatologist always told me skin is just like paper. Once a paper is folded, you can't quite restore the crease back to normal -- no matter how much you try to press it out. Same goes for skin. Once there is a wrinkle, it is quite difficult to restore the skin back to smoothness. The number one cause of wrinkles is UV light from the sun and more importantly, your neck is the first to go (which is why it's so important to apply SPF not only to your face but also to your neck!)
Good news is that most of our make up, whether it is Chantecaille or any other make up brand, contains SPF. Bad news is that most foundation has only up to 20 SPF at most. Furthermore, you need to reapply SPF every 2 or 3 hours.
I am so glad that I found this product because I throw it in my purse and quickly apply it before I step out for lunch and also right before I drive home after work. Am I a little overboard with my SPF nonsense? Probably. But any chance I will be in the sun, I want to make sure I have SPF on and this product allows that to be effortless.
Highly recommend but I just wish that Nordstrom offered other tints! I know that they have refills in other colors but I would like to purchase the medium tone in the brush as well.
I enjoy the benefits of this product. I have been quite hesitant to wear powder as I have always felt older skin doesn't need any added dryness. This powder with the brush goes on easily and is smooth and light on my skin. No caking or added lines. It seals the foundation and makes be look refreshed. I love Chantecaille's foundation and blush also and although all these products are pricey, for me, well worth the result.
