Lightweight

Proslightweight, casual, easy to clean, fuss-free!
I've been searching for a shoe to replace my everyday Dansko Professional clogs -- the shoes need to be plain, slip-on, comfortable and fairly durable. (Dansko quality has become disappointing.) The Ecco Rise GTX comes close and manages to be lightweight and easy to clean, too.
I tend to wear 7.5 #sometimes 8) and based on other reviews purchased a size 38, which is what I purchase in Dansko. I do not believe these Eccos run wide, but they do run small. I almost returned the 38s for a 39, but determined that they fit kind of like a slipper. Everything fit well for the most part, but due to the taper, space is tight in the toe area. I suspect that the fabric will form to my foot over time.
I am disappointed that there isn't more arch support. Likewise, there is a lack of cushion in the footbed heel. "Shock point" is imprinted on the sole's heel, but maybe that's more of a warning than the noting of a feature? :-)
Overall, it is a fine light duty shoe, but I'm not convinced it would be the footwear of choice on my world travels.

Proscomfortable
These are my second pair and I love, love them.....I wear them everywhere. They are my "go to" shoes, when they get dirty I just wet a cloth and give them a wipe. It says Gore-Tex lining but when I walk my dog in the early A.M. and the grass is wet my feet do get damp. I bought my first pair about two years ago and they are still in great shape but I wanted a fresh pair to wear to the grocery store and shopping they are so comfortable. I have bad knees, these shoes never cause any pain when I wear them all day.

Prossleek comfort
ConsMedium width
These are beautiful shoes and were just what I was looking for. But the right shoe was a little loose around my heel so I took them to the local Nordstrom's to return them. While there a salesclerk showed me a similar pair of shoes (different brand) that fit perfectly. So it all worked out.

Prosgreat shoe
ConsMedium width
I love these shoes -comfy out of the box. I have very tender feet and a large bunion, but these are very comfortable. The particular pair I bought have a wrinkle in the back of the heel, so they will be going back, but in general, a very nice and reasonably priced shoe for travel - not clunky at all.
