very heavy and itchy
PostedJanuary 24, 2012
My husband bought me these boots for Christmas. Already had uggs and you can never have too many cold weather boots. After wearing them the part of the shoe with rubber would make me ankles itch horribly. I had socks on of course. I am not sure if I am alergic or what but I would not recommend these shoes to anyone. I returned them.

too heavy

ConsMedium width
these are nice enough boots but they are much too heavy for just a rain boot. I could handle an insulated snow boot that was this heavy but not a rain boot. I returned them.

Sturdy boots!

Proswell made, sturdy
ConsMedium width
These seem like great boots. I wish I could have kept them but they were not exactly what I was looking for. They are well made, comfortable and not bad looking for a bad weather boot. They are not very flexible but would be perfect for sloshing around in a typical NE winter. I wanted to wear them on my bicycle commute. I'll need something more close-fitting I think.

Excellent boots

Prosstylish, comfortable, warm
ConsMedium width
I live in Fairbanks, Alaska and these boots are excellent in the rainy weather as well as the winter. Our winters get to -50 below sometimes and my feet stay warm and dry in these boots. Most Bogs are rated to -40 and that's really important in Alaska. Also, I spent time doing research in the intertidal areas along the coast and these boots keep my feet warm and dry in the just-above-freezing water.
Not all Bogs are made the same, so I recommend this particular style. The 'Classic High' rain boot is easy to put on and take off, and they are comfortable as a pair of slippers! I have another pair of Bogs but they are a different style and that pair is not as comfortable as the 'Classic High' style. Another great thing about the high calf style is that the material is flexible enough to bend down to make a shorter boot if needed. In other words, bend the handles down to the ankles.
Great boots! I would recommend for anyone who gardens, lives in rainy areas, or for getting around in the snow!
