Two seasons of western chief boots and both years soles leaked once the hollow heel was worn. Bought the hunters a size bigger and will probably get two yrs of wear. My daughter loves them and wears all the time.
I've had my eye on a pair of Hunter boots for a while, and finally bit the bullet this week. I'm 5'1, petite, and normally wear a women's size 6.5.
I first tried on the women's version of this boot, and while the size 6 fit in the foot, the boot shaft came all the way up to my knee cap! So, I went downstairs and tried on the kids version, size 5, which fit in the foot AND came about 3 inches below my knee cap. I was worried the calf would be too tight on the kids, but the kids size 5 and women's size 6 seem to have about the same calf circumference.
As for quality, I've only worn them in the rain once, but my feet stayed warm and dry!
