The dress flows beautifully. I had it tailored to be a bit snugger in the the waist and hemmed a bit shorter. Very pretty color, fits nicely in the bust. I will be wearing to my daughter's wedding. The only tough part was trying to match shoes to the violet shade that I chose. But I have had many compliments already so I know I will love it!

I've never really had a full length dress that is this "fancy" before, but after debating for months, I went ahead and took the plunge. Like others have said, it makes you FEEL special, you WANT to wear it.... like a princess with its floating skirt and elegant ruffles. I bought it to wear for New Year's Eve and "formal night" for a cruise we are going on, but it would also be perfect for proms, weddings, bridesmaids or maybe even a formal dinner party or Christmas party. It could last for many years as it is a timeless, feminine design that I think is appropriate for ladies of ALL ages. This dress appeared to have the type of shape that I thought would flatter my figure because I need clothes that emphasize my waist. I have a curvy, hourglass shape with a little more thickness in my thighs, butt and hips (38C chest, smallest part of my waist is 29" and widest part of hips are 42" thanks to a round butt) and went with a size 10 in hopes that it worked out. It fits wonderfully although the waist is just a tad big but I think the 8 would have been a little tight in the chest and arms. In this style dress, definitely buy it to fit your bust and waist, as the skirt is flowing and much more forgiving. I LOVE how it has fluttery cap sleeves that balance out your figure, the banded waist to nip you in, the skirt is not too tight or full (more A line) AND I can wear my everyday regular bra in this because it is not cut too low in front or back! I was surprised at how many people in the reviews said how long the dress was even with heels....to the point that I worried, even though I'm 5'6" and going to wear 3-3.5 inch heels, do I need to get the petite length? But I bought the regular length and it looks great with heels, a little shorter than the picture shows because you can see a little bit of my heels in front. the very back may hit the floor a little (1"?), but it looks nice. I also love the color choices and material. It is decently light weight but still heavy enough to look like good quality and hang properly. I don't think it would be perfect for weather extremes (ie super hot or super cold) but I think it is surprisingly good at being "all seasons" wear. It is very soft and comfortable, but I do have to pull the dress up to use stairs (expected) and dancing in it may be tricky. This is surprisingly ideal off the rack, but if I could make it perfect (for me) it would be just a tad tighter in the waist (like 1in?) and just a little lower in the front. Overall , makes you feel amazing!

The site to order online was very user friendly and completing the information for ordering went smoothly. I love Nordstrom and six years ago bought a mother of the bride gown and this year found another beautiful dress as I am mother of the groom. The dress fit true to size, color is gorgeous and the material equisite and the chiffon makes it flow so nicely. The band at the waist is a nice feature and the back of the dress is layered perfectly. It is even more beautiful than the picture on the website. I would highly recommend it to others. Another great Nordstrom purchase for me!

I ordered size four, and it was a perfect fit; it was too long because I am a petite. I wish they offered the petite sizes. It is a well-made beautiful dress and the design is very complex. It makes you look very elegant.
