The dress was ever so slightly darker than I expected, yet this made the dress even more desirable to me. I'm of olive skin tone and if it was any paler in color, I would have required a decent tan to have looked nice in it. The fit is extremely flattering to a slender-frame wearer. I did read previous reviews before buying this garment, so I did expect it to be long. I prefer to wear a maximum of a 3" heal, so I will be in need of a professional seamdress to adjust the length. For how beautiful the dress is, it is well worth finding just the right person to adjust the length for me. With it's classic lines and complimentary it is to my shape, I am sure I will find more occasions to wear this garment beyond our daughter's wedding.

I found this dress in the store and then ordered on line. It is a "tad" smaller than normal...but, not drastically. (I am normally a 10 or 12 ... I was definately a 12 in this dress.) This dress is for someone who has a slimmer waist ... or a waist that can be "girdled in." My body issue is a slightly chubby lower belly and hips ... for this shape ... the dress is spectacular!!! Seriously...it will make you fell like a princess! Enjoy!

I wore this dress to a 40's party, and it was the hit of the night!! Very elegant and light. No slip needed. I am 5'6" and wore 2" heels and it was a tad long, so I pinned it up with a beautiful broach and it was fine. Plan on wearing it on a cruise in the future or even to a wedding.

I was really excited for this dress, but it just didn't fit on me like it did on the model. The waist was an awkward size, but it seemed that even if I got a smaller size the ruffles on the bust just made me look large and in charge. I didn't like it. I ended up getting a different dress for my event.
