I had great difficulty buying this dress because some of the reviews say it runs big and others say small.
I am a pear, 5-7 and 150. I bought both 6 and 8 because I don't have time to go back and forth or to start again if a size sells out. I am now sending for a 4, which thank goodness is still in stock. In my opinion, then, it runs a little big.
The 8 would be OK, the 6 is like a glove and since I am still losing weight ready for the event, the 4 might be the winner by November.
The dress itself is even prettier in person than the picture online suggests. The horizontal "sash" part is nicer. At my age, I like the covered shoulders, and since I am smaller up top I have no problem with the bodice, unlike other reviewers.
Lengthwise, I need a 3.5 inch heel and am using the Amalfi Melania black patent, 921561. The blue color in the shoe is the same teal as this dress, and with that heel the length is just perfect so that I don't need any alterations. I am a sucker for unusual shoes and this one is a knockout.
I also bought the Shoji Lace Mermaid dress 660089, now sold out. That one is gorgeous too and I am debating which to wear or whether to keep both.

I loved everything about this dress ... the color, the shape, the tiers. I was looking for a dress to wear to my daughter's wedding and this looked perfect. It was a very flattering dress everywhere except across the bust. I'm a 36H and even going up a couple of sizes (thinking I'd then take it in everywhere else) I couldn't get a good fit across the bust. I was sorry that I had to return it.
