the color in the ad is much, much bluer. When I received it it was too dark like a navy and since I already have the same dress in dark mossgreen I sent it back.

This is a fabulous dress. I bought it in navy blue to wear to a December wedding in Paris and it was perfect, with black satin shoes and a gold beaded bag; I felt well dressed, attractive and comfortable all evening long (and received many compliments from my French friends - hurray). Despite the close-to-the-body fit, the dress is so well cut and the fabric drapes so well that (with a bit of shapewear underneath) it was very kind to my 60-year-old figure, and my husband thought it was super sexy. Nice to find a dress at my age that covers the flaws and enhances what is still good! And it came out of the suitcase looking perfect, with nary a wrinkle. Note that the low neckline makes it more of an evening than a daytime dress.

This dress is a great style - I also own it in black - but I was a little sorry to see that it is not midnight blue as noted in some reviews, but a very dark, true navy. I was hoping for a deep blue dress, that I could wear with black hose and shoes, but this is too dark for that. I will keep it and wear with different color accessories, since the fit is so nice, and who doesn't have a use for a navy blue dress? But my search for a deep blue dress continues.
