I was so excited to order these boots I bought 2 colors because I couldn't decide. I have other Pikolinos and they are wonderful. The Brujas was very pretty right out of the box but I just didn't like the way they looked on me. They were a little snug on my 15 inch calves (I bought size 39) over jeans, but doable. The footbed was very comfy and true to size, I usually wear 8 1/2. I thought the combination of calf buckle and short shaft and slouching made my leg look chunky. Beautiful boots, just not for me.
I've never written a review before but I have had the brown pair of these boots for 2 years now and just purchased the black set. They are amazing. It's a loose fit so you don't need to break them in to feel comfortable all day. That's huge in my book with sensitive feet. My brown pair was treated in store with weather guard but this pair I treated at home. First day wearing them it rained and they still look perfect. The slack gives a sexing look while still being comfortable. My husband loves them on me which makes these perfect.

Could Not Zip Around Ankle

I could not get these zipped around the ankle. It turns out that I am sorta glad though, because their construction seems quite flimsy, what with a very thin leather and cheap paper heelcup

I love these boots! The pair I have now is actually my second pair since the original ones started to wear out - only complaint is that they developed these weird holes in the heel... but Nordstrom graciously refunded those boots and I was able to use the gift card to buy a new pair once they came back in stock. Other than that, they are so comfortable, it's ridiculous. I have never owned a pair of boots (heeled, no less!) that I enjoy walking around in. I'm generally a size 9/9.5 US and bought 41EU, and they fit great.
