True to size. Love the fit and color of the jeans. Also love the comfort in the stretch of the material.

I bought a pair of NYD jeans for the first time a year ago and needed a new pair. I went online but of course could not remember the name and style of the original pair. Turns out I needed the "Barbara boot cut." The "Marilyn straight cut" jeans were too small and had to be returned. No big deal since I live a half-mile from a Nordstrom store. My only negative feedback is all these terms used to describe jeans, straight cut, boot cut, etc., are confusing and seem to vary from one manufacturer to another. I've already ordered a pair of the "Barbara boot cut" and may order two other pair in different colors. I used to consider myself a fashion conscious person but now I'm just happy if I have something to put on in the morning with the minimal amount of fuss and the maximum amount of comfort. Oh boy, this all makes me feel so middle-aged.
I love these jeans! I rarely order clothes online because I'm so picky, but I am so glad I took a chance on these. I love the blue-black rinse. They are nice enough for me to wear to work with a cute top. I am 5'0 and when I ordered the petite size I can wear these with flats without having to have them shortened. I will be ordering more, because really, I find myself wanting to wear them just about every day.

Prosdark wash
Great jeans - great fit - flattering - easy to wear and pair with almost anything. I wish they (NYDJ) would make a lighter wash in the Marilyn, they seem to focus on this blue-black or black all time, but that's just a color preference. The pants are all one could hope for in a pair of jeans.
I'm 5'5" and I could wear a low heel with these, even though I got the petite, so they run a bit long, just something to keep in mind when you're ordering.
