Adds a Little Sparkle

Proseasy to blend, long-lasting
The photo I added is my daughter wearing Champagne Silk without any other eye makeup on. You can see the little sparkles. It's a very subtle, light color. You can also put this on over eye shadow. It comes in a very small tube, but a tiny bit goes a long way. It goes on very smooth and does not irritate the eye in any way.

Lid Primer / Delicate Shadow
PostedMay 7, 2014
Prosdelicate
Have been using this product (Eye Gloss Silk - in Champagne Silk) daily for about a month now, and prefer to use it as a lid primer. Have been wearing it under the Jane Iredale Eye Shadows and am very happy with the results. The two products together give me exactly the results I'm hoping to achieve, and otherwise have never been able to (regardless of brand or product#.
As a stand-alone shadow it's something I would wear on a minimal make-up day, -just to have something on around the house. It is so delicate, -at least to the best I have been able to apply it. If they ever reformulate it in the future, it wouldn't hurt to add just a bit more depth #of texture or color#.
It does glide on like silk, and does tend to settle a little bit in the creases when applying it; I tap it in lightly with a finger, -not a problem for me. As I wear a shadow over top #applied wet or dry#, I don't see more creasing. I adore the applicator and the tube. The Champagne Silk color is exactly as the name implies #light and relatively neutral#; the image online appears much darker.
I think some first-time buyers of this product #me included originally) were expecting a slightly more dramatic finish. Would I buy it again? Yes. When this runs out, will gladly purchase the same color and continue using as a lid primer. Will also be buying one in the 'Grey Silk' color very soon. Overall, 4 &-1/2 stars.

I tried this eye shadow on a whim about a year ago and found myself coming back for more.
It's very different than any shadow I've ever tried, but in a good way.
The tube has a tiny felt brush in the cap, so you can apply it directly to the lids with that brush. or, you can put some on your hand or finertip and use your own brush. I just apply the product right to the lids and then blend with my ring finger. I think you get the best results this way, because of the texture of the product, which is creamy but almost has a mousse-like consistency.
The colors are all flattering, even if they look intimidating in the tubes. They are all wearable and look flattering. A little goes a long way, particularly with the darker colors, but if you use a very small amount, you get a really nice wash of color. You can just keep layering the product up, it never cakes or gets gloopy.
Even without eye primer, this stays true all day and doesn't crease. I really mean that. It's almost kind of shocking. I don't have oily lids, but my makeup still will crease normally, even when using crease-resistant formulas. This is the only product I've tried that stays this true for so long.
I have sensitive eyes and for me, this works without any irritation.
Tip: Try getting a couple of contrasting colors and layering them over each other. Also, this can be used as a base for powder colors or even another brand of liquid or creme liner/shadow.
