I leave this in my shower & use it on a weekend day when i don't wear makeup. it leaves my skin looking glowing & fresh so i look good w/bare skin. its got a soft citrus smell that i enjoy, its quick & easy, & a little goes a very long way.

my mid-week face refresher
PostedFebruary 3, 2012
I find this peel perfect to use during the middle of the week when I do not have a lot of time and my skin could use a little refreshing. The peel is not quite as strong as the 2-step microdelivery peel scrub but, I still enjoy the results. It is quick and easy to use and leaves my skin smooth and ready to face the remainder of the week. I apply it before getting into the shower and let it work its magic and rinse right in the shower. The gel is a little sticky, but not annoyingly so. As soon as it is applied, I can immediately feel it working. I’ve never felt that it was too strong or harsh for my skin, but as the directions say, definitely avoid the eye and lip area!

not for me, but my neice loves it
PostedJanuary 19, 2012
i bought this because i wondered if i would prefer this over the microdelivery peel. well, i don't. this didn't even perform as a peel for me, it was more like an intermediary exfoliator between the microdelivery wash and microdelivery peel. it didn't exfoliate enough for me and left a "film" on my skin regardless of how much rinsing i did. it is quick and easy to use though, it's a one step process.
however...i gave it to my neice (23 yrs old, oily skin) and she just loves loves loves it! her skin is contantly breaking out, and she cannot use exfoliators with grains/beads because they aggravate her skin and make her pimples worse. she said this has helped her skin a lot by clearing out the "gunk" in her pores and leaving it less oily, smoother and clearer. (so now I'm getting her started on philosophy's clear skin line).
i should add that this is a thick gel that you apply to clean skin, leave on for 3 to 4 minutes (there are no beads or polishing grains, the lactic acid and other ingredients do the exfoliating instead of manual exfoliation), then you rinse it off.
i gave this 4 stars because although it's not for me, its working for her and she has gotten good results from using it. different skin types need different products and that's why i like philosophy so much, it gives us choices.
