Proswide calf, great style
The Valente is wide enough for athletic calves. I have big calves. I bought the Viviane first but they're too wide. I then ordered the Valente and they're perfect!

I would not have considered this boot if someone hadn't recommended it under a different boot review. They fit great! The fact they're waterproof is icing on the cake.

Perfect, Stylish Winter Boots

Prosstylish, comfortable, good tread
I love these boots! They were the successful end to the long search for boots (to wear with skirts/dresses) that satisfied some specific criteria: black; knee-high; wide calf (mine are quite muscular and meaty); serious tread for Upstate NY winters; reasonably warm; comfortable for walking; low heel; stylish look. I am thrilled with them! They were more pricey than I'd hoped, but worth it given my specific needs. Runs true to size. Others have commented that they seem to run narrow, but I did not find that. I take an 8 1/2 to 9 in general, and the 9 was perfect for me (with tights, not thick socks), so if you are on the fence I would order up.

good looking boots

Prosstylish, comfortable, nice value
Wearing a size 10 shoe/boot, I find these boots to be a tad large. But they are very comfortable with fairly good ankle support. I have had better though. I find them good looking and appreciate the extra wide calf for my leg. And the height is good on my 5'8" frame. I am using an arch insole for extra comfort.
The waterproof feature seems to be working well also. These boots seem to be keepers.
