I have been using this Clinique eyeliner for many years. I reordered it as usual but am having trouble getting it to properly work. It seems to have a heavy coating over the navy point and no matter how hard I try to rub it off, the pencil beneath the protective coat doesn't work properly. Help!

Brings out light blue eyes so well. Always get compliments. Goes on so easily and can smudge to your liking. Pairs perfectly with a nude to tan pallet.
I remember, now, why I quit this product a few years ago. It crumbles onto your face. Your whole face. Skips along the eyelash line on it's own. Dry dry dry. Nope. Nope. Nope. Can't return because of Covid. In the trash it goes. What a waste of money.
