Great base with a hint of color!

Prosbeautiful!
This is my first purchase from butter LONDON. While searching for a strengthening basecoat with a hint of color, the sales associate at Nordstom's insisted this is AMAZING, and it's true. The color is pretty, a natural shade - and it did strengthen my nails! It did not "chip" off but by week two, it did wear off - slightly.

I can't even begin to tell you how amazing I think this stuff is! Not only did it provide a nice base coat for my polish, it also made my nails stronger. I used it with Deborah Lippman polish and I didn't get a single chip for an entire week. Also, a lot of people were asking me if I had gel on. I will look no further for a base coat, I have found the one and I'm sticking to it!

Let me start with my problem....I have NEVER been able to use ANY kind of polish on my nails. Evey one eventually causes my nails to peel. When I heard about Butter, with no formaldehyde, I was hoping it would work for me. As that one ingredient might be the root of my problem. I only ordered the base coat to wear alone, for the time being, to see the reaction my nails eventually have. I like it...not too shinny...looks like a really good buff job! I only did 4 stars, as I don't know yet how it will work for me. The service from Nordys was great...very quick and easy...that alone would be worth the stars. If this works, after a couple of months, I may venture into some nail color....and do another review that may help someone else who has a similar problem.

Protects and Lasts!

This base coat really protects the nails and creates a smooth base for color. I *never* wear polish because it eats away at my nails and I'm left with stubby, thin, and peeling nails. I tried Butter on a whim, and I am sold! My nails are thick and strong (dare I say stronger?) after a week. I didn't see any colors I liked so I used a Deborah Lippmann polish on top. No chips or nicks and my mani has lasted a whole week of holiday retail shifts.
Bottom line, I cannot recommend this stuff enough.
