I just bought this dress for my bridal shower and it is PERFECT! It fits like a glove and is true to size. I'm 5"7, 140lbs and a 4 was just right. It hits just above the knee. I can't wait to wear this dress!!

I followed the directions when it said order size bigger but had to send back and order my normal size and I probably could have went a size down. I am 5'7" and 160lb 36DD I ordered a 12 but probably could have gotten away with a 10 so the top would have fit snug. It's a really classy dress, nice fabric not itchy and love the pockets. Fast shipping and no hassle returns. I plan on getting it taken in for my next event I will definitely wear it again and again!

I am 5'8", broad shouldered, 38-D with an athletic build. I typically wear a size 10 or 12 depending on designer. This dress fit like a bridesmaid dress, if that makes any sense. There is absolutely no stretch so I agree that it is a good idea to order a size up if you have broad shoulders or are busty. I did and the dress is roomy and comfortable but still flattering. Ignore the number and just wear what looks best.
I ordered the blush pink version of this dress for my nephew's wedding coming up this spring. It's gorgeous but just a shade darker than the picture would indicate. The lace top portion is more of a nude blush - flattering if you have some color to your skin. The bottom portion is a true blush (light pink). I think it's even prettier than the picture but it might wash you out if your skin color is too close to the color of the dress.
The band at the waist hits at your natural waist and has a nice subtle flair - very old school which is the look I was going for. The length (falling just an inch above my knee) is flattering and keeps the dress from looking matronly. If you're 5'4" or shorter, I suggest ordering the petite version so the dress doesn't overwhelm you or fall at an unflattering length. The beautiful lace and neckline do a great job of modernizing the dress, as well - it's classy sexy. The band at the waist helps to create an hour glass figure. I would caution that the subtle flair may not be flattering if you're carrying any extra weight in the stomach area. Rather than hide it, I think this dress would actually accentuate it.
Overall, one of my favorite wedding guest dresses ever. I think it would even be a beautiful bridesmaid dress. If you're on the fence, you should at least try it on. Nordstrom has a wonderful return policy.

Proscomfortable, flattering
This dress is very flattering and very pretty. It fits well and is very comfortable. I really like the pockets. My only complaint is the invisible zipper is not so invisible because it is a nude color in a navy dress. Unfortunately it shows nude at the back waistband and is very visible. This dress would be a five star for me if it were not for the zipper.....
