Unflattering fringe

I am returning this dress. The bottom is cute and comfy with pockets but the neckline at the top has a strange and unfinished looking fringe that I can't get to stay down flat and is unflattering.

Very cute, but...

This is a very cute dress. A modern twist on a classic look. I had ordered this as a possibility for not only an upcoming wedding, but also to wear at some concerts I will be giving in the coming months. Unfortunately, it was not designed for this girl's curves. I am 5'5", narrower waist, round hips and rear. A pretty true hourglass shape. I usually wear a size 12 dress to fit my hips - many times I need to have the dress tops tailored in a little to fit properly. I had read this runs small, so ordered a size up - also what the size guide recommended. When I tried it on, my hips not only made the skirt look very full, but it's almost as though the designer did not allow enough room for any larger than a B cup. The material has zero stretch. All in all, it's a great dress, but if you have a curvy figure at all, I would be cautious. Luckily, Nordstrom has a wonderful shipping and return policy!

This dress fits as if I had it altered just for me. I debated ordering the regular over the petite and I am so happy I went with the petite because it fits my narrow shoulders perfectly. I love the length, it is just as shown in the picture. The skirt has just the right about of fullness to make it fun without being obvious. I love the pockets and they will prove to be practical as well.
