This dress is marketed as a potential mother of the bride dress. As the mother of a groom, I ordered it and tried it on. It's very lovely, but runs small. I would have to wear a 12 (despite Nordstrom's online fit recommendation of an 8) and the skirt, which is full, would make me look very wide indeed. It's a lovely dress, but it is for very slender older women or women under 40 in my opinion.

Proscomfortable, elegant, dressy
I ordered this dress online for a wedding (in black), and it looks so beautiful on. I am 5'3" and weigh about 150 - hourglass figure, not small but not that fatty. The dress length comes right to my knees perfectly, gentle flared The V-neck does go down pretty low and I was concerned about that, but I tried it with my regular bra and it is fine, it goes right where the top of my bra is so I will use the two-sided fabric tape to hold it in place. I love it SO much and am so happy with how it looks on. The lace is not scratchy and there is flesh colored fabric under it, so the only iffy area would be the low cut.
I also wanted it to do double duty and be useable for funerals or other occasions as well, so for this reason alone I might return it, or I might just find a different one for funerals and keep this beautiful dress!!!

Loved this dress and wanted it to work but it just didn't fit right. I have a pear-shaped body and the top half was just too ill-fitting.
