I love the packaging of this compact. For the price, it somewhat justifies the product. The foundation pan lifts on its own when you open the compact to expose the sponge underneath. Just a little something to make this compact special and luxurious. The feel of this powder foundation is velvety and matte. It has a wonderful scent that is part of the luxury. I have a sensitive nose and can not tolerate most scents however, this is very pleasant and makes this product more attractive in my opinion. It does not last very long so if you are hesitant about the scent, it dissipates shortly after application. I am an NC25 with the MAC foundation and a 30 Cendre in Chanel's Mat Lumiere to give you an idea of shade selection if you are purchasing this online. I am very pleased with the quality of this product, both with the product itself and the packaging.

Light, Silky Natural Coverage

On a lark I tried this powder foundation. It is very light and feels incredibly silky. Non-oily, and very light application provides a natural (not stage make-up looking) coverage. It's matte, but....not. It just looks very natural, not like you're wearing a matte powder/foundation, and it is not greasy or oily. Light as a feather. Lasts for hours and evens out my skin well. I also love the packaging!

For me, using this product alone, showed many flaws and looked cakey. Applied with a brush over foundation gives a nice finished look and keeps the shine down. I bought #7 which seems to go over most foundations well, no matter what their color. It appears lighter than the foundation in #7.
I'm 48 with combo skin/large pores. Maybe someone younger with better skin could use this powder by itself.
