I've been using this powder as a setting powder for the liquid foundation for a little over a month now and I LOVE IT! It is rather powdery AT FIRST but after a few moments the powder settles onto the skin and has a light, natural finish. On a hot, humid or active day it doubles as a blot powder, never looking caked or too powdery. I absolutely love it and it goes with me everywhere! I am a No. 5 / No. 7 at Burberry (NC25-30 at MAC) and got Porcelain No. 1 because it is on the cooler/yellower side. In the description under "benefits" it states that there is a "mattified" and "shine-free" finish that results from use, and as anyone who uses the dewey liquid foundation knows, sometimes that can be a good thing! I wouldn't use it by itself as I have dry skin and it would take the little shine I have off of my face completely, but as a finishing powder or blot powder it outperforms any other I've tried!!!
I will preface my review by agreeing with the other reviewer that this is definitely a mattifying powder- teamed with the sheer luminous foundation, you really only need to dust this on your forehead, nose and chin. The powder is lightweight, flawless and absorbs excess oil with ease. Porcelain No. 1 was a great match for my light skin. The compact is both sturdy and gorgeous, you will want to whip that out in a social setting! It comes with a decent brush in the velveteen case- although I prefer a pressed powder brush for use at home, you can easily slide both back into the velveteen pouch for work or on the go.
Using the sheer luminous foundation and powder, I feel like a million today!
