I'm in love with Burberry cosmetics. I have 4 of their eyeshadow and they all stay on well, their application is creamy and smooth, they don't crease and don't irritate my eyes. That is until I tried Gold Pearl. It is the same wonderful consistency and application of my other Burberry eyeshadows, but this one really bothered my eyes. It's got a glitter to it that's more than just a shimmer or pearl essence. I couldn't really see the glitter itself in the compact, but on my skin I can see the multitude of tiny flakes of glitter and I think that's what's getting into my eyes and irritating them. I'm still giving it 5 stars because it's a beautiful eyeshadow, it goes on smoothly and evenly and stays in place all day. It's a light golden color. And if glitter doesn't bother you then you'll be very happy with this particular shade.
The texture of this powdered shadow is amazing and although it is a powder shadow it feels almost creamy. All of the colors are nice and subtle, not overwhelming; however, they are buildable, if you want the color to appear darker simply apply more shadow. Even with several coats of shadow it remains smooth, no creases and no flaking off into your eyes or under your eyes. These shadows are not filed with sparkles they are luminous and sophisticated, perfect for day or evening wear. I have several of the colors and love them all. No. 2 Trench is my go-to color for everyday wear. It's perfect alone or as a base for other colors. Burberry shadows are easy to apply and long wearing.
