Another Beautiful Burberry shadow!
PostedSeptember 10, 2012
Proseasy to blend, smudgable, long-lasting, eyes pop, staple shadow
I have read so many rave reviews on Pale Barley eyeshadow and I am so glad that I added this shadow to my collection. It is a beautiful golden brown/taupe lustre but not too overpowering. The color is substantial enough for the lid or to accentuate the crease but not too dramatic. It's silky and applies easily. I own Almond & Trench (wear everyday) and Porcelain and Gold Trench but this is definitely my favorite. I think this is a great color for anyone from blonde to dark hair and will work for all skin tones. Just beautiful!

I am a makeup junkie to be honest. My friend is a manager at a makeup store, so I am always trying out new products of some sort. As far as eyeshadow's go, this is literally the only brand of eyeshadow I use now. They go on nice and sheer, but the thing is that you can build up the color as much as you want! I have extremely fair skin, blue eyes, and medium-dark brown hair, and the colors all look good on me. They are incredibly neutral so you don't get that obnoxious " she's wearing too much makeup/looks like a clown " look.
A couple differences I'd like to just note between some of the colors that I own.
1. Lavender Blue is actually a lilac color, and Lavender is actually a blue shade. go figure..but that's just how it is.
2. Trench is actually a paler color than Porcelain. I like to put Trench right on my lid most days because it matches my skin tone very closely. It makes me look awake. I will usually put Porcelain up in the crease.. and it has some shimmer to it. Trench is more of a matte color.
the shadow's last a very long time on the eye ( I do use a primer ) and both in the container, I use them every time I wear makeup and I've yet to run out of any.. and I've owned some of these for a year now.
The downside- are expensive..but it's Burberry what do you expect. my best advice is go ahead and invest, but pick the colors you will wear the most.. so stick to the neutrals if you are on a budget, you can't go wrong with those since you can wear them everyday/with anything :)
Colors I'd select if your skin tone is like mine- Trench, Gold Trench, Almond, Chestnut, and Porcelain.

Proseasy to blend
I love this color of eyeshadow. It is a medium brown color that blends really well. Looks great for fall. It stays on pretty well. I wish I could try some of these Burberry products before buying. I've been lucky, but I would rather see it in person first. Fancy packaging. Love that Burberry is now doing makeup .

These are easily the best eyeshadows I have ever used. So buttery smooth, excellent color payoff, beautiful packaging. Absolutely worth the money!
