Midnight Brown

Proseasy to blend, long-lasting, buttery soft, beautiful colors, effortless
I wanted to place an order for a few weeks and started off with one shade in Midnight Brown. If I was disappointed, then I'd move on to another brand. I am far from that... I have done a lot of research on this brand and the products/how they wear. I've also bought quite a lot of high end makeup from other companies. When you compare the amount you're getting, this is a deal in the high end market! Others offer half this amount or less. The packaging is so luxurious and a combination of classic and modern elements. They've thought about everything. The product itself is almost effortless, which is the theme for this brand. Real, natural beauty that any woman can achieve. Midnight Brown is one of the only that has a beautiful sheen and also a shimmer. It doesn't translate as too sparkly when on your lids. A beautiful cocoa brown with a golden overlay and silvery taupe-ness. Rather complex! The feel of it is buttery smooth and very pigmented. It goes on even more pigmented with a primer.

Not the right color

The first Burberry eyeshadow I bought was in the color Midnight Brown. I love it so much! It is not too sheer and not too dark. Not too sparkly and not matte. It gives your eyes a pop of dimensional color. It's so lovely. I decided to buy Taupe Brown since I loved Midnight Brown so much. LOVE Taupe Brown. It's the perfect accent color and it is matte, but it's not a "flat" matte. You can pair it with any light color or you can wear it by itself. It really looks good with the Midnight Brown. I really wanted a light color, so I bought Trench. It's just a very so-so color. Nothing special. I was going to return it, but I paired it with Giorgio Armani's Eyes to Kill Intense Silk Eyeshadow in #9 and I LOVE it!! That said, if you wear the color alone, it's disappointing. Again, a very so-so color. It reminds me of MAC's Brulee. The only difference between the two is that Burberry's eyeshadow is oh, so buttery!!

Pale Barley Eyeshadow

Proseasy to blend, smudgable, long-lasting
I ordered this eyeshadow because I read many great reviews about it. They're all true. This eyeshadow is super silky. One swipe and you're done! Plus it stays on even after an hour in the pool. The color is a slightly more golden version of MAC's Patina. And I love it! Looks super natural yet polished with my light complexion. Definitely is an all time favorite.

I got this in Midnight Brown and Pale Barley. They are smooth, non-creasing and wonderfully pigmented. There is some shimmer to it but it doesn't get sparkly upon application, just a sheen. In the Florida heat there is no creasing, even without a primer. This is an amazing makeup line! Worth every penny!
