Boot
PostedAugust 15, 2013
Leather was thin and low grade. The color looks spray painted. For the money I guess it's ok. But you just can't get a quality boot for under 300.00 at a minimum..

First online shoes purchase turned out great
PostedMarch 25, 2012
Proslight weight, soft leather, comfort sole, great style
ConsMedium width
This is the first time I bought shoes online for my boyfriend, who is pretty picky on his shoes.
We got two pairs to be safe, 11 and 10.5. The 11 fits perfectly and is his size. The shoes look great, light weight, comfort sole, soft leather and very versatile for both casual and biz setting. The brown color has some redish spots and he loved the color.
Overall a great pair of high quality boots.

Great Boot
PostedOctober 28, 2011
ConsMedium width
Super soft leather. Great color! I tried on 10 and 9.5. 10 was too big but 9.5 was a little snug. My hope is the 9.5 would relax a little with wear.

Beautiful boots
PostedJune 14, 2011
Prosstylish, durable, quality
ConsMedium width
These boots balance a rugged Indiana Jones look with the timeless classic styling of a country gentleman's lace up. The rich brown saddle leather quality will make any guy feel like a million bucks striding around town, or through the office. They work well with jeans and blazer, or dress slacks and open collar button down shirt. The slightly distressed look is understated, so the worn look does not look beat. I think keeping a shine on them with regular upkeep and polishing maintains a refined, "experienced", cache.
The initial fit for my 9M feet was snug. I found the right boot to fit slightly more narrow across the instep than the left, leading to pressure points and hot spots. However, after a couple of hours walking around these marvelous boots relaxed nicely. I think the issue will resolve itself completely with about a week's worth of break-in time.
Workmanship is solid. The leather upper has enough gauge to feel rugged, yet supple, as opposed to the chunky, blocky, feel of some of the more popular brands out there. You would not work on the construction site with these boots, but you could motor through a down pour and mud with out feeling like you're standing in wet dish rags. Durability is beefed up with stitched and glued wear pads over the 1/4" thick leather last.
Detail is good with enough rough cut to seam edges in the achillies to maintain that rugged look, while still showing craftmanship in the heavy stitching around the upper; and above and below the last.
These boots will not only be your "go to" shoe of choice. They will become part of your gear.
