I ordered this Birkenstock in two different sizes because I was unsure as I tend to be between sizes. I’m usually an even eight and the 38 was too small the 39 was a little big but I would stick with the 39. However the issue for me on these is that the color is way off from what it shows online the tobacco color is almost a soft greige. There is no brown tone in the spark in stock whatsoever which makes me sad. I think this is a batch issue however because I originally ordered the 38 in the color tobacco and it was much more brown in color.
Comfortable footbed, as they are known for. But— there is a staple where the buckle straps cross and it tore my skin leaving a sore on the top of my foot!!! Seems like they could have been better craftman. Need to figure out how to deal with it still... Also a bit smaller than the clog
I wish Birkenstock’s came out with a true NARROW option not N-M because it’s still too wide in the footbed and too loose having the buckle on the very last hole. Plus the leather stretches even more with wear. It was a disaster for me, the shoes were flopping all over the place within a few days of wear but the footbed length was fine. Please keep us narrow footed people in mind too, I’m sure many will appreciate the narrow option.
This color goes with everything! Super comfortable, especially after a few wearings-they mold to your feet. Unique style compared to other Birkenstocks. They run a little large-I needed to go down 1/2 size from american sizing.
