I don't personally have this necklace, so I'm sorry if the stars are misleading. I just wanted to clarify a complaint that I've seen a few times when looking at dogeared jewelry. I was considering getting one of their necklaces for myself and was dissuaded by the complaint that the gold rubs off really quickly. While dipped gold does wear eventually (which is why I decided to get a different necklace), it takes quite a while. The reason the hearts, and any other shape on a 3 wishes necklace, wore off so quickly is because they are supposed to. The dogeared website says that 3 wishes charms wear off and when they do, your wish comes true! Clever way to get away with thin plating, but a charming concept none the less. From what I understand, the plating is thicker on their other charms, and from research, it's pretty hard to find anything but gold plated or dipped for the same price range.

This piece of jewelery is very light and very small, which makes it look really subtle and classy. Its not flashy yet still noticable.

Prosoverpriced, poor quality
Sadly I'm returning this. The concept is beautiful, the sentiment is touching...but the quality is extremely poor. Dogeared makes very low end jewelry and gets away with charging so much because everyone loves the quotes. Don't be fooled. The packaging / boxing was also disappointing.
