The "Shelton" is a long lasting shoe.

In 1982 I purchased a pair of AEdmonds shoes, the Shelton model. I still have them, wear them and want to thank the company for making such a superb example of fit and quality in a shoe. It has been nearly 30 years that I have worn them off and on. I have never had them refurbished because they don't look old, or particularly worn. The materials and workmanship have made these shoes last. They are A+ by any measure. Perhaps I should have them recrafted just to see them looking brand new once again! Ken

Sturdy but supple

My 3rd pair of AEs (also have Manchester and Grayson) and I like this new pair very much. I take care of my shoes and keep them for decades. I've had these about 2 months now. Break in was minimal. They are sturdy but supple. Distinctive but still quite traditional in appearance. The quality and attention to detail are obvious. The fine contrasting edging around the opening for instance could have been eliminated if AE was into cutting corners. I wish I'd known earlier about the custom option, which doesn't add anything to the cost, and I'd recommend checking that out before purchasing. If you like the online photos I think you'll be very happy with these. Well worth the money.

I own 5 pairs of Allen Edmonds shoes, and the Shelton is the most recent. I am retired so I don't have to wear dress shoes to work every day like I did, but I enjoy looking good for casual events. My wife still works and is a professional person and I go with her to social events and my appearance influences how my wife appears. The Shelton does just that. It dresses up just about anything from causual to formal. They fit very well and look equally good. Thank you for having such quality products.

This shoe has the perfect shape and style - nicely shaped toe and "saddle". I wear my burgundy/black Sheltons at least weekly and, they have been comfortable from day one. They take and hold a shine very well. Great shoe! Please note: I cannot rate the fit of the Shelton vice the Park Avenue since I haven't worn the latter. A "reset" button on this form would be helpful.
