A favorite for 30 years

I purchased my first pair of these (in cordovan and black, as I recall) about 30 years ago (they were called "Polo" then) - needing some dress shoes for job interviews. I loved those shoes, and wore them about three days a week for the next 11 years. I've since replaced them (burgundy/black) and recently purchased another pair in Walnut/Brown. I really like these shoes a lot. I also own three other pairs of A-E shoes, so evidently that first pair turned me into a true believer.

Beautiful shoe but a little stiff

I bought the shoe because I loved the look of it. They're made very well but the leather is a little stiff on these. After a month of wearing them they seem to be becoming more comfortable each time I wear them. Overall a great investment.

This is the classic two-tone saddle oxford with double sole. I waited for the brown/tan version before buying. With the double sole, it's a bit heavy and break in takes a bit longer. This last is fairly full fitting.

Buy the shoes first and then build upwards. The shoes will define the rest of your look. The Sheltons fit perfectly. The style is impeccable. A good saddle shoe makes everyone smile.
